Our topic this term
has been about investigating our local area. When the snow melted, we
set off on a walk up Meon Hill.
As we got near the top, we stopped for a rest. There was quite a view.

At the very top
there is an old Iron Age hill fort. From there we could see for miles
all around. In the distance we could see our school, and at playtime we
waved to the children in the playground.

Then we pretended to
be Romans attacking the Celts and charged up the hill.

When we got back to school we drew a map of our route.

We have looked at
maps to find out where Mickleton is, and located local landmarks and
some of our houses. Next term we are going to be looking at the history
of our local area and finding out what it was like to live here in the
past.
